About Me
Welcome, my name is Peter Allen. I was born and raised in Western New York. I reside there with My Wife Kathy and two Children Erica and Joshua.During the day I am a full time auto technician.At night I like to spend time creating these works of art. On weekends I like to hike for these chestnut trees with my family and friends. Hiking for relaxation and exercise, fulfils my passion for travel and camping outdoors.
As a member of the Western New York Old Growth Survey Team, I have countless hours of experience in the quest of old growth forests. I have come across old Chestnut snags [dead trees] in some of them.Chestnut Creations is a small business I have started back in 2004 to salvage some of the remaining American chestnut wood to create a unique and one of kind gifts... I can only hope people keep these crafts as heirlooms as the true American chestnut is gone forever from the forest.
